CHENNAI REVIEW
1R : Either PRESTO POWER (2), who ran third in the opener of the season, or ROYAL MAYFAIR (4), who was gallant in defeat in her final Ooty run, could set the ball rolling in the opener of the day. The weak affair coupled with the claim of the apprentice (-5kg) gives an opportunity to fairly well-bred, 18-race maiden AMARONE (7) to emerge from the maiden ranks.
2R : Hailing from a yard currently in rousing form, ALLABOUT CECIL (1) has the bloodline and ability to add to the tally on his maiden bid. Fairly consistent without winning, ARMOURY (4), with the apprentice at the wheel (-5kg), could get going (win) in this modest affair. WESTERN GIRL (6) could have this field swinging to her moves if she performs true to her bloodline promise.
3R : Speedy contestants, KIKATA (6) and SUNNY ISLES (7), are the ones most likely to dispute the issue. THE STING (4) is capable of landing a telling blow and bears watching.
4R : Last-start winners, SOFT WHISPER (3) and VIJAYA (8), are the prime contenders. SENORA BIANCA (5) is the best of the rest.
5R : Well-bred SAMURAI BLUE (9), with the top rider doing the steering, is the pick of the lot. SUPREME GRANDEUR (4), who ran third on her seasonal return, is capable of improving the finish and extending the eventual winner. Found afflicted with a sore back after his maiden bid, AVIOTHIC (8), who ran plum last in that run, could reverse the standing if fit.
6R : This race looks confined to the trio of ANASTASIA (1), SLAINTE (2), and PENSE'E (3).
7R : An easy winner on her seasonal debut, CLOCKWISE (1) faces a tough adversary in GOLD FAME (7) and needs to quell her bid to make it two in a row. Consistent in his recent starts, WINDSOR WALK (11) could give the jitters to the fancied ones.
8R : Last-start winner SONIC DASH (4) was seen getting stronger at the finish over the sharp sprint, and the additional furlong to travel might see him complete an encore. ILLUSTRIOUS RULER (1) ran fourth in a youthful set on his seasonal return and could easily tackle this older lot in the finale of the day. HALLUCINATE (5) is the joker in this pack.

PUNE REVIEW
1R : Group 1 placegetter REGAL COMMAND (3) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on February 12 finishing fourth and beaten 3.5 lengths over 2000m at Mumbai. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. Multiple Group 1 placegetter ASHWA MAGADHEERA (1) finished 12 lengths from the winner in tenth last time out at this track over 1200m. Is yet to miss the frame from four starts at this distance, including four wins. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Likely to feature. Group 3 placegetter MISTY (8) failed to live up to expectations over 1600m in Group 3 class at this track last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. MISS AMERICAN PIE (7) scored last start at this track to make it two wins from two starts this campaign. Should be prominent from the outset. Should give backers a sight.
2R : ALMAS (1) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 12 starts. Was again denied last start when she found a couple better over 1000m at this track. In the right race and there is no reason she cannot get the major prize. SLAM DUNK (11) did a good job last start to finish third at this track over 1000m, beaten 0.6 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Drawn out but going well enough to play a role. VOLARE (12) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 9 lengths into eighth. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. MIRAE (6) turned in a fine effort to win by a nose at today's course and distance last start which was an improvement on the first-up run. Finds another suitable race and can do it again.
3R : ESCONIDO (6) is on debut for the S Waheed stable. Two-year-old filly by Leitir Mor from Pure Allure. Looks set to run well. Betting watch recommended. DASH (1) is on debut for the M Narredu stable. Two-year-old colt by Phoenix Tower from See The Sunrise. Looks set to run well. Betting holds the key. ZARQAWI (4) is a two-year-old gelding on debut from the stable of Rakesh. By Dali from Allee Bleue. Any push in betting should be respected. AFFLUENCE (5) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Altamash A Ahmed. By Win Legend from Fashion High. Top-three chance.
4R : CORDELIA (9) returns after six-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 1400m at Mumbai. Rates on top and is a great chance to break through. MULTIVERSE (3) was in the money on debut before finishing fourth last time, beaten 2 lengths over 1600m at this track. Has a high cruising speed. Will play a major role. HAGIBIS (10) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 15 lengths away in 12th over 1600m at this track. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SMILES OF FORTUNE (4) is back from a break of 12 weeks. Raced below par at his only appearance last prep when fourth over 1400m at this track. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Should give backers a sight.
5R : KOENIG (2) is a four-start maiden who finished fifth at his most recent appearance over 1600m at this track. Finds a suitable assignment this time and is a great chance to break through. STREET SENSE (7) is yet to break through in seven runs. Finished seventh at her last appearance over 1200m at this track on September 17. Finds a suitable assignment this time and is a great chance to break through. UGLY TRUTH (4) resumes in a similar race to his only run last prep back on July 30 when ninth, beaten 10 lengths. Has a high cruising speed. Winning claims on best figures. TEE TEE DEE (9) did little and finished 12 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1400m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than her sixth on debut at this track the run before. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish.

6R : Group 3 winner PISSARRO (1) is a six-year-old returning from a spell of nine weeks. Opened the last campaign with a sixth at Bangalore over 1600m, beaten 9 lengths. Should get his own way in front in the small field and will take running down. EUPHORIC (3) improved last time out, finishing 2.75 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 2400m at this track. Meets a stronger field but he is capable of running a bold race. Group 2 winner TAIMUR (2) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just two times from 24 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when eighth over 1600m at this track, beaten 20 lengths. Best figures measure up nicely. Makes plenty of appeal.
