PUNE REVIEW
R : INDIA STRONG (4) finished ninth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1200m at this track, beaten only a long neck. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. GLACIER (6) is back from a spell of nine weeks. Closed last prep with a seventh, beaten 11 lengths, over 1400m at this track. Looms large. LORD FENICIA (1) finished third last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. SILVER SPRING (3) did a great job to score by half a length over today's course and distance last time out to build on a solid first-up result. Nicely placed to take this out.
R : Group 3 placegetter KIEFER (5) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 2400m at this track, beaten 5 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. FINCH (4) was prominent from the outset when second over 1600m at this track last time out. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Likely to feature. Group 3 placegetter ZARAK (1) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but failed to live up to market expectations last time when out of the placings at this track over the same trip. Faces an easier assignment so he is a major player. Group 2 placegetter OWN VOICE (2) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at this track but couldn't back it up last start when seventh, beaten 7 lengths, over 1600m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
R : GALLOPING AHEAD (2) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fifth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1400m at this track. Has further improvement to come and is a great chance to break through. BIG RED (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, beaten 11 lengths into sixth. Likely improver with strong prospects. MIGHTY THUNDER (11) scored at this track last time out with a long neck in reserve at the end of 1400m. Has a decent record at this track with one win and three minor placings. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Sure to be competitive. OPUS DEI (3) was beaten 5.5 lengths into seventh at the second run back from a break in a 1400m contest at this track at his latest appearance. Has his share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
R : ULTIMO (2) is back from a spell of six-and-a-half months. Closed last prep as a winner, taking out a 1200m contest at Mumbai by 2.5 lengths. Perfectly placed to score. MAYSARA (3) broke through for her maiden win over 1000m at this track last time, scoring by 1.75 lengths. Shaping up nicely and she is one of the main chances. PURE FOR SURE (1) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1200m at this track, scoring by 3 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Y S Srinath was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. SORRENTO SECRET (7) could only manage to finish fourth, beaten 8 lengths, at her latest appearance over 1200m at this track. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for her.

R : Multiple Group 1 winner JULIETTE (1) comes here off a break of six months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1800m at this track. Comes here with definite claims. Group 2 placegetter SUCCESSOR (4) ran sixth at her latest appearance over 1600m at this track, finishing 5 lengths from the winner. Big run is on the cards. IN CONTENTION (2) produced a solid effort last time when third over 1600m at this track. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. Can win this without surprising. Group 2 placegetter PLACE VENDOME (3) scored last start at this track to make it two wins and two placings from four starts this campaign. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Should give backers a sight.
R : INISHMORE (2) impressed last time with a 2 length win at this track over this journey. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Best figures should see him run well. Group 1 placegetter WAIKIKI (6) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing ninth over 2000m in Group 1 class at Bangalore 12 weeks ago. Has never been out of the placings first up from two tries. Niranjan Parmar who has scored on her two times retains the mount. Expecting a bold showing. PYRRHUS (11) finished fourth last time out over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Has a decent record at this circuit with a win and four minor placings from seven starts. Deserves serious consideration. EXOTIC QUEEN (1) was responsible for a better run last start, beaten 4 lengths into fourth over 1000m at this track. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
R : ANOUSHKA (5) was sent out favourite last time and scored by 1.3 lengths at this track. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and two placings. Drawn to go forward. Among the leading chances. DIVINE SOUL (8) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time over 1000m at this track, finishing 11th and beaten 9 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SILVER STEPS (10) is a 15-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing fourth at this track over 1400m last time out. Big chance to shed the maiden tag. NAIROBI (4) did a great job to score by 6 lengths over this course and distance last start to maintain her good form of late. Finds another suitable race and can figure in the finish.
