Among the leading chances. Group 3 placegetter PROUD MARY (7) is yet to miss the placings in four starts, including two wins. Last appeared when she scored over 1200m at this track on August 21. Form this track is hard to knock with two wins from four starts. Will be hard to stop. FORTUNATUS (4) last appeared three-and-a-half weeks ago over 1600m at Bangalore when he finished sixth. This is his first run for the L V R Deshmukh stable. Comes here with definite top-three claims. DIVINE CONNECTION (6) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by 2.75 lengths over 1200m at this track. Well placed to feature in the finish again.

3R : SHADOW OF THE MOON (2) has been in great form recently, the latest effort a dominant win by 6 lengths over 1600m at this track. Stepping up a level this time but on current form he is one of the key runners. INDIAN SNIPER (9) has put together back-to-back placings after scoring three back at this track, most recently beaten 3 lengths into second over 1600m at this track. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. DIVINE DESTINY (6) was only a neck from the winner in second last time out in a small field over 2000m at this track on a soft track. Should be prominent from the outset. Will give backers a great sight. Group 3 placegetter ENCORE (8) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track, finishing fourth and only 2.25 lengths from the winner at the end of 1600m. Sure to be in the mix.

4R : CAPRIATI (4) was sent out favourite last time when second over 1200m at this track. The extra journey should play into her hands. Likely to feature in the finish. CARAXES (8) is back after a break of nine weeks. At the last run before the layoff it finished eighth over 1600m at this track. No surprise if it was able to get off the mark. QUEEN EMPRESS (3) proved too strong last start and scored by a nose over 1400m at this track. Has a fair record at this track with a win and five placings. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Capable of testing this field. BOLD BEAUTY (11) again failed to feature last start, finishing sixth and beaten 6 lengths over 1200m at this track. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Sure to be thereabouts.
