Has a high cruising speed. Will prove tough to beat. HARVESTIME (5) is a handy galloper who was 0.8 lengths from the winner in second when resuming last start over 1400m at this track. Among the leading chances. CLEVER HANS (4) did little and finished 8 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1400m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at this track the run before. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. JAWAI (6) ran well below her best last time over 1400m at this track, beaten 4 lengths into sixth at $4.50. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Deserves respect on best figures.

3R : Group 3 placegetter REDOUBTABLE (6) comes here off a break of 14 months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1400m at this track. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. Group 2 placegetter SAVVY CHIC (4) fought on for third last start over 1600m in Group 2 class at this track, making it two minor placings in a row. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. Multiple Group 3 winner AWESOME ONE (2) is coming off a last-start fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1400m at this track. Is very effective at this distance with eight wins from 21 runs. Strong top-three chance. Group 2 placegetter TIGRIO (3) turned in a fine effort to score by 1.3 lengths at this track and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. No reason he cannot salute again.

5R : Multiple Group 3 winner LONG LEASE (2) is in top form with two wins on end, the most recent an effortless 2.5 lengths victory over 1600m at Group 3 level at this track a month ago. Suraj Narredu who has four wins when partnering stays on. Sure to play a big role. Group 1 placegetter MEROPI (3) clocked-in third behind LONG LEASE last time out at Group 3 level at this track over 1600m. Yet to miss the placings here in an excellent record which boasts four wins and one placing. Sure to be there at the business end. The least attractive option in the small line-up.
