BANGALORE REVIEW

1R : ECO FRIENDLY (1) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when a long neck away in second over 1600m at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. MARCO POLO (5) didn't do a bad job when third last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. TANKINIKA (3) finished 3 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1400m at this track six weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Sure to be competitive. SEA DIAMOND (6) turned in another moderate effort last start when 12 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1200m at this track. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.

2R : GISMO (1) was out of the money on debut two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 15 lengths into fifth. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. SUPER BOLD (9) debuted six weeks ago when she finished eighth over 1200m at this track, beaten 29 lengths. Will be better for that run. Leading contender. JOYFUL SPIRIT (2) is on debut. By Whatsthescript and hails from the M Rajendra Singh stable. Respect any positive move in betting. INSPIRE (5) is appearing for the first time. By Speaking Of Which and comes from the Arjun Mangalorkar stable. Watch the market closely.

3R : KALLU SAKKARE (5) is a talented type yet to taste defeat after two runs this campaign, the latest over 1200m at this track. Far too good last start and expected to be in the finish again. ARMSTRONG (4) returns after a spell of three-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1600m at this track. Has ability and should be right in the finish. CLASSIC CHARM (7) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 8 lengths away in eighth over 1200m at this track. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. MACRON (10) ran well despite being friendless in betting last time over 1200m at this track, finishing fourth and beaten 0.7 lengths at $21. Has a high cruising speed. Not to be discounted.

4R : TREASURE CHEST (2) improved last start to finish second over 1400m at this track. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. CONTRACTOR (5) is yet to break through in four runs. Finished 11th at his last appearance over 1100m at this track on February 2. Finds a suitable assignment this time and is a great chance to break through. SEVENTH SAMURAI (1) was close to breaking through last time in work, closing the prep as favourite and finishing third at Mysore before a five months break. Can pick up where he left off. Strong winning chance on best figures. SUNLIT PATH (6) ran a better race last start, finishing 7 lengths away in fourth over 1400m at this track. No surprise to see him in the frame.

5R : PHOENIX SURPRISE (5) was well found in the betting last time out but could only manage to finish eighth over 1100m at this track in a disappointing performance. Likely improver with strong prospects. BREEZE BLUSTER (4) made progress last time out, finishing 6 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1400m at this track. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. DOMINA (6) is going well with two minor placings from three starts this campaign. Continued the trend at the most recent appearance when third over 1200m at this track. Must be included on the strength of that form. MEGA SUCCESS (9) made progress last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in second over 1200m at this track. Looks to be in the right race so he should be in contention again.

6R : DEL AVIZ (6) turned in a good effort on debut 12 weeks ago when a neck away in second at this track over 1100m. Has not been to the races since that outing. Sure to have improved over the break and expected to go well again. SILICON STAR (8) was in the money on debut before finishing fourth last time, beaten 4.5 lengths over 1200m at this track. Has a high cruising speed. Will play a major role. MAGNETIC (7) wasn't far away on debut last start over 1200m at this track, finishing third and beaten 4.5 lengths. Has ability and must be respected. BOWEN (5) ran a fair race on debut last time out, beaten 8 lengths into sixth over 1200m at this track on February 2. Has upside and can measure up.

7R : ALDGATE (1) is back after a break of four-and-a-half months. Was in strong form before that spell with three straight wins until he finished fifth at Mysore to close the campaign. Good effort at the start of last prep to score over 1100m at this track. Will prove hard to beat. MAPLE LEAF (6) turned in a fine effort to win by 1.5 lengths at this track and distance last start in a far better run. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of another big performance. SOFIYA (7) got home by just 0.8 lengths at her latest appearance over 1400m at this track. Drops significantly in the weights so she is capable of another strong effort. ENGLISH BAY (3) is coming off a last-start fifth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1200m at this track. One of the better chances.

8R : GREELEY (6) broke through for her maiden win over 1400m at this track last time, scoring comfortably. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and she looks certain to measure up again. NEVADA GOLD (7) registered a strong win at this track two runs ago. Not disgraced last time out when third over 1400m at this track, beaten one length. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. BLUE GOD (1) did a great job to score by 3.5 lengths over today's course and distance when resuming from a spell last time out. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. EMBOSOM (8) ran fourth at her latest appearance over 1400m at this track, finishing 6 lengths from the winner. Expected to feature.

9R : BORN DANCER (4) impressed when successful as favourite on debut over 1200m at this track two weeks ago. Has plenty of upside and should go on with it. MEASURE OF TIME (5) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when sixth over 1600m at this track eight days ago. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. BALTIMORE (10) ran below expectations when fresh from a spell at this track over 1200m last time, finishing fifth and beaten 7 lengths. Nicely placed to bounce back. REMONTOIR (1) bounced back last start and got the job done by one length over 1400m at this track. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat again in this suitable race.

CHENNAI REVIEW

1R : The last-start facile winner SAFETY (4), and an eye-catching close second last time out ECLIPSE AWARD (9), are the ones to dispute the issue in the opener of the day. Consistent PRINCE PURPLE (5), who was beaten to third by SAFETY two runs back, could exact revenge with the weights in his favour.

2R : ELEMENT (1) and WINDSOR WALK (2) are the prime contenders. TRUTH IN WINE (7), who failed to deliver in both runs this term when fancied, gets a chance to make amends.

3R : STRAORDINARIO (3), whose previous siblings were game performers, looks set to follow in their footsteps with the run benefit under his belt. Speedy ALL STARS (5), who almost scored on her debut under a then claimer (he is a full jockey now), stands a good chance of landing the spoils with a talented rider at the wheel. KRISHVI (8) is the best of the remaining lot.

4R : Five-year-old RUBERT (8) is the youngest in this field, and that could play to his advantage, and the bonus is the booking of an apprentice (-5kg). The Bangalore-based, last-start winner PROMISE KEPT (3) has every chance of completing an encore of wins on this track. Speedy GODS PLAN (4) may have devised a strategy to outwit this field, and he bears watching as such.

5R : The last unfortunate loser, TESORINO (6), who got beat right on the post due to the overconfidence of the rider, should be home and dry with a judicious ride. A runaway winner at Mysore two weeks back, BHARAT (1) is the one to fear. The effortless last start winner, Bangalore-based ELFIN KNIGHT (2), is no pushover, and he could be deemed the dark one.

6R : In rousing form, hat-trick seeker TYCOONIST (3) is the one to beat. .ANDORRA (4) has it in her to extend TYCOONIST. PROPOSED (2) believes that man proposes, god disposes, and goes into the race having full faith in that.
