KOLKATA REVIEW

1R : Group 3 placegetter LADY SUNSHINE (1) last appeared two-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 3 lengths into second over 1400m at this track. Great chance to score in this small line-up. AEROPOLI (2) last appeared two-and-a-half weeks ago when he finished 5 lengths away in fourth over 1400m at this track. Chance to topple to top selection as these small fields can throw up surprises.

2R : IMPERMANENCE (5) is fitter for two runs back from a spell and has been in the placings at both appearances, the latest when second over 1400m at this track. Great chance to break through. MR PERFECT (4) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. Last start could only manage sixth over 1200m at this track. Open to improvement and is among the chances. ZUKOR (2) finished fourth two runs back at Mumbai then improved last time out to score by one length over 1000m at Mumbai. Won't find this as tough so he is one of the main contenders. REGENCY GOLD (6) turned in another moderate effort last start when 16 lengths from the winner in ninth over 1400m at this track. Capable of featuring prominently.

3R : DANCE ALONG (1) has been in the market at her last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start finishing sixth over 1400m at this track. The testing material on her best form. SPORTING TRAINER (3) bounced back last start and scored by 2.25 lengths over 1200m at this track. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role again. MAGNITE (7) has not won for a long while. Last raced on February 1 when beaten 6 lengths into fifth at this track over 1400m. Placed to advantage and can make amends. LIBAN (4) did a great job to score by 3.5 lengths over today's course and distance when first-up from a layoff last time out. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.

4R : ROCKET MAN (1) produced a good effort last start over this distance at this track, scoring by a head. Hard to knock form this course having never missed the frame including two wins and one placing. Leading contender. OH MY SWEETHEART (12) resumes. Didn't make an impact at her only run last prep on December 10 finishing seventh and beaten 10 lengths over 1400m at Mumbai. Lining up today for the first time for trainer Shafiq Khan. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Will prove tough to beat. LIGHTNING CHARLIE (11) has switched yards since finishing fourth two-and-a-half weeks ago over 1100m at this track. Well-placed and is among the chances. SAGITTARII (3) resumes after a break of ten weeks. Did win at his only other first-up run when on debut, scoring over 1600m at this track. Can make his presence felt while fresh.

5R : PERFECT BLEND (1) was well fancied last start over 1600m at Group 3 level at Delhi when fifth, beaten 6 lengths. Will find this much easier. Sure to run well. Group 3 placegetter KIEFER (4) turned in a sub-par run last time out over 1600m at this track after a nice win the start prior. Nicely placed to make amends. AMBER KNIGHT (5) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by half a length over 2400m at this track. That continued the solid form this campaign, with four wins from nine starts. Should be in the finish. BURMESE (3) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, beaten 25 lengths into sixth. Capable of featuring prominently.

6R : BORN TO BE SPOILT (1) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 2400m at this track, beaten 13 lengths. Has the talent to take care of this field. YAWAR (3) is yet to break through in seven runs. Finished ninth at his last appearance over 1400m at this track on February 10. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. AXIS (4) did little and finished 26 lengths from the winner in 13th over 1400m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his ninth at Mumbai the run before. Likely improver with strong prospects. CAIRO (5) is a five-year-old filly who is yet to fill a top-three spot in seven starts. Safely held when resuming last start over 1400m at this track, finishing 11th and beaten 21 lengths. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Must be respected.

7R : LA DOMINATE (3) is close to a win after a string of recent placings, the latest when third over 1400m at this track. Genuine performer so a well-deserved win is on the cards. TWENTY SIX BLACK (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2400m at this track, beaten 12 lengths into fourth. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. KING ROGER (9) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time over 1200m at this track, finishing eighth and beaten 15 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. FORTUNE TELLER (6) returned from a spell five-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 5 lengths into seventh over 1400m at Mumbai. Fitter and sure to run well.

CHENNAI REVIEW

1R : A slightly restrained ride ought to do the trick for speedy STOLEN GLANCE (9) in the opener of the day. If AUTUMN SHOWER (2) were to hit the front early, then this field would find it difficult to reel her in. RWANDA (3) reunites with her original master and she would be keen to welcome him back with a victory.

2R : The booking of the rider in red-hot form could enable the last-start failed favourite, KNOTTY POWER (5), to make amends. LADY WONDER (7), who ran fourth under a full ride last time, could get going with the claimer (-2.5kg) at the wheel now. Making a belated debut, fairly well-bred GREY BEAUTY (6) stands a good chance of landing the spoils in this modest affair.

3R : HIGH TRIBUTE (6) is the pick of the lot. Consistent in his performances this term, PRESTO POWER (4) is the next best. The one to fear is ECLIPSE AWARD (8), as she has it in her to cut short the bid of this competition.

4R : This race looks confined to the trio of hat-trick seekers, RELIC WARRIOR (3), SEEKING THE STARS (7), and BE CALM (10).

5R : AMAZING JOY (3) ought to be seen frolicking around in delight soon after the finish. He has only his stablemate DRAMATIC (4) to fear. Though it is highly unlikely, KINGS RETURN (1) might turn out to be the one to foil the bids of the aforementioned pair.

6R : The last-start facile winner, GALACTICAL (3), is the one to beat. Speedy SUPREME DANCE (1) has it in him to either beat or extend GALACTICAL. Winner five in a row prior to her last bid in a terms race, GUTSY (6), has every chance of bouncing back to form upon reverting to handicaps.

7R : EDMUND (1), who loves to cut the wind, could make it a pillar-to-post affair with the rookie (-5kg) at the wheel. The last-start, end-to-end winner, ROYAL NOBILITY (2), will likely make a similar bid to complete an encore. GANDOLFINI (3) is the joker in this pack.
