CHENNAI REVIEW

1R : Late-rusher RINELLO (3), who is blessed with a stunning turn of foot, could land the spoils in the opener of the day if ridden to his strength. YOUNG HEART (11) finished in the money for the first time last time out on the thirteenth career start, and he can get going now that he has hit form. The 23-race maiden, MEMORY LANE (9), with five second finishes in his profile, is capable of breaking the shackles in this modest affair.

2R : Grade-dropper IMPIANA (1) chances get enhanced by the claim (-5 kg) of the rookie, and she is not likely to prolong her stay. The last-start effortless winner, ATREIDES (5), with the rider repeating, has every chance of making it two wins in a row on the back of the assertive victory. REIGN OF TERROR (3) is capable of living up to his name and letting loose mayhem in his wake.

3R : TRUTH IN WINE (4) is the one to beat. The last-start handsome winner, LARADO (2), can do a repeat act. A hunch says that KALLIPOS (7), who gets along fine with rookie (-5 kg), could well be the one to land a telling blow.

4R : The in-form contestant from Hyderabad, DESERT HERO (2), who scored back-to-back wins prior to starting his journey to this centre, and the well-bred local contestant, the last-start facile winner, VIVALDI (6), are the ones most likely to dispute the issue. Their main threat is the late-rusher WOLF CREEK (7), for his finishing burst of speed could enable him to come and overcome the leader(s) close to the post.

5R : Both the Bangalore-based contestants in the fray, VIBRANT BLISS (1) and STAR SERENADE (9), ought to dispute the issue and are likely to finish 1-2. The local well-bred debutante, JOONDALUP (6), is capable of keeping the bids of the outstation challengers at bay.

6R : An upset seems to be in the offing in this wide-open contest. The ones capable of landing a telling blow are CYNOSURE (2), SPECULATION (6), or RELIC WARRIOR (8).

7R : The ultra-consistent performer (1-2-3-1 in 7 seasonal starts) this term, ROYAL CHIVALRY (7), with the top rider at the wheel, is the pick of the lot in the finale of the day. ALL STARS (2) has had the scalp of King's Battalion in the bygone Ooty season, who won back-to-back this season, and that brings her into the fray. It would be good to keep an eye on DANNY'S GIRL (9), as a hunch says that there is something brewing with her and that she could deliver a KO punch.

Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals.
