R : SCARAMOUCHE (3) continues to race well with a win two back at Pune before finishing 0.8 lengths away in second last time over 1400m at Pune. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Expecting a bold showing. LORD ERIC (1) made it four minor placings in a row last start when second over 1200m at Pune. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. MOONLIGHT KISS (4) made it two wins in a row last start when she scored by 1.3 lengths over 1200m at Pune. Goes up a rung or two but she is worth serious consideration. TIMELESS FORTUNE (7) finished third last start over 1400m at Pune, beaten 2 lengths. Will be rock-hard fit. Capable of another strong performance.

R : SURREALIST (3) finished third over 1200m at Pune at his most recent appearance on August 24. Capable of playing a major role. EL MORAN (1) scored two runs back then was well in commission last time but could only manage to finish eighth over 1200m at Pune. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. RAFAEL (5) finished 4 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 1000m at Pune, an improvement on his seventh at Pune the run before. Nicely placed to take this out. EKLA CHOLO (8) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 13 lengths away in ninth over 1200m at Pune. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.

R : BAYCHIMO (1) finished a close fourth in the Pune Derby (Gr.1) despite being slowly away, turning for home ten horses wide, and running in the centre of the track in the straight. As such, he stands tall in this handicap race. The ones likely to follow him are either TYRANNUS (4) or DEDICATION (6).

R : DIEGO GARCIA (4) is fresh from a spell of ten weeks and did hit the frame when last resuming at Pune over 1400m. In a different yard now. Sure to prove tough to beat. EXCITING (5) made it four minor placings in a row last start when second over 1600m at Pune. Should be prominent from the low draw. Finds a suitable race and can build on solid recent efforts. VEGATHA (1) is a talented filly who tackled a tougher race at her last run on June 15 and finished 15th behind Fynbos over 1600m at Group 1 level at Bangalore. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. One to consider. CHELSEA (2) turned in a better run last start, beaten 5.5 lengths into fourth over 1200m at Pune. Nicely placed to find some form.

R : FOURTH WING (4) and STORMY SEA (7) are likely to wage a grim battle for supremacy. The unbeaten colt, WESTERN STAR (8), who scored all three of his wins on the shorter trips, could make it four-in-a-row if he tackles the additional furlong well (7f).

R : The booking of a top rider bodes well for LUCIO (2), who ran fourth under an apprentice last time. The one capable of dousing the bid of LUCIO could well be CHARLIE BROWN (1). Those who believe that the pedigree of a horse is supreme should try their luck with SAVAGE PEACOCK (3).

R : The finale of the day, which happens to be a weak affair, might enable DAIANNE (2), who encountered one better five times, to finally strike on her 21st start. The 4-race maiden, JAGGER (1), has the bloodline to strike it rich in his first run in the bottom grade. MARLBORO MAN (5) has never won when fresh in the past and in this lacking-in-depth competition, he stands a good chance of correcting the anomaly.
